Ker's WingHouse in Wesley Chapel plans May opening

Job interviewing has already begun for jobs at Ker's WingHouse that will be opening in the former Buffalo Wild Wing's location on C.R. 54 in Wesley Chapel (at entrance to Lexington Oaks).

I placed a quick call to the interview phone number and was told that they hope to open on May 30th.  As you can see from the photo below, they have a ways to go with getting ready for that opening date:

Spring is the time to spruce up your home with paint

According to the National Home Color Survey from Sherwin-Williams, two-in-three (62 percent) homeowners are planning a painting project and three-in-four homeowners (74 percent) would like to incorporate more color in their homes, especially the living room (29 percent), bedroom (19 percent) and kitchen (10 percent). The most commonly used living spaces are in need of the most paint this year, with 32 percent of homeowners focusing on their bedrooms, 29 percent tackling the living/family room and 28 percent updating their bathroom. In addition, 15 percent of people believe their home’s exterior could use a refresh.

 

Presentation on widening of SR 54 in Wesley Chapel scheduled

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Seven is developing the design for the widening of SR 54 from Curley Road to Morris Bridge Road.

DATE and TIME: Thursday, May 9,2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

PLACE: Atonement Lutheran Church--29617 SR 54, Wesley Chapel, FL 33543 

There will be no formal presentation; therefore, attendees are welcome to arrive anytime between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 pm. to view the proposed plans and project displays.   Members of the project team will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The proposed work includes:

Widening the existing roadway from two to six lanes

Sidewalk construction

Upgrading signage and pavement markings

Tampa Bay home sales were up in March and inventories are down

Tampa Bay had a 7 percent increase in home sales in March 2013 over March 2012 and it was the busiest month since May 2006 according to the Tampa Bay Times.  More than two-thirds were conventional sales and the Times reports that half of the reported sales last month were cash sales, with investment firms "gobbling up" homes to fix up and rent, with a median home price of $150,000.  That's a 22 % increase over a year ago!

Additionally, the inventory of homes on the market in Hillsborough County this year has fallen to over 6,000 from a high of 18,000 back in 2009. 

The market in New Tampa continues to be super hot in the under $200,000 price range for single family homes, with fewer than 15 on the market, escalating prices and many buyers finding themselves priced out of the market.

Eleven single family homes were reported sold by our local MLS in Arbor Greene in March.  Sold prices ranged from $215,000 to $379,000 for a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 3 car garage pool home.  The average reported sales price for the community in March was $295,501 with an average sales price/sq. ft. (htd.) of $107.39.

Currently in the gated and guarded community of Arbor Greene,  there are 10 single family homes listed for sale in MLS with prices ranging from $274,900 up to $524,900 for a six bedroom, 5 bathroom, 3 car garage, pool home that is a short sale listing with 210 days on the market.
